What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Unbox and plug in your phone

Unbox your new phone to ensure the proper model number is included (VVX 450). The model number is located on the side label of each box, but you can also reference the back of the phone for the model number. Locate the Poly Quick Start Guide setup sheets included in the phone box, review them, and ensure you have the following pieces of equipment:

  • Poly VVX 450 Phone
  • Handset
  • Handset cord
  • Desktop stand
  • Network cable
  • AC power adapter

Confirm requirements

Before setting up your phone, it’s important you confirm the following requirements have been met to ensure your office is ready for Total Talk service.

  • Modem Ports: The number of ports available on the TDS High-Speed Internet modem is equal to or greater than the number of phones
  • Cabling & AC Power: Each phone will be placed in a location with access to:
  • An RJ45 jack with CAT 5 cabling (or better) to your network equipment
  • Commercial (AC) power
  • IT Resource: Consult with your IT Resource if you intend to plug the Total Talk phone(s) into your own network equipment. TDS recommends having an experienced IT Resource onsite to ensure your network equipment is configured to support the Total Talk phones per the Polycom Telephone Set-Up Guide.

Setup Instructions

Total Talk phones must be connected to the Internet via your TDS® high-speed Internet modem (they do not work via Wi-Fi). You also have the option to connect a PC to the Internet through your phone. These diagrams identify the key connection points for setup.

Once your phone has been assembled and the desktop stand is attached, select a designated area for the phone and follow these steps:

  1. 1. Connect the power cable to the AC Port and the other end to a power outlet.
  2. 2. Connect the supplied Ethernet cable to the Local Area Network (LAN) port on the phone.
  3. 3. Connect the other end to any LAN ports on the back of your TDS high-speed Internet modem.

It may take up to 20 minutes for the phone to boot up and registration to be complete. When the phone is completely registered, the screen will look like this:

  1. 4. Optionally, you can now use a second Ethernet cable to connect your PC to the PC port on the back of your phone. This allows access to the Internet through your phone.
